We are creating a new paradigm in education for children! Our schools’ curriculum includes academics, arts, PE, values, communication skills, leadership skills, critical thinking, yoga, meditation, & more! We have small class sizes, individualized learning approaches, and collaborative teaching. Rather than concentrating simply on exams and grades, we place the emphasis on how each student learns and develops as whole, and on making the journey a meaningful process. These student-centered learning methods are the Integral approach.
We started with a preschool we opened in 2002 (Rainbow Kids Integral Preschool, in San Diego), and followed with an elementary school, which we opened in 2006 (Integral Elementary School in the La Jolla/UTC area). We aspire to create a full K-12 school in San Diego that will serve as a model for other educators in other parts of the country to emulate and implement for as many students of today as possible. Our ultimate vision is to create replicable pre-K through grade 12 curriculums, along with teacher training programs, to support many integral school openings.
