On Tuesday, May 5, at 6:30 PM, at the Integral Elementary School (8660 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037), I gave my monthly Wendy’s Words of Wisdom talk.  This month’s exciting and very informative talk was on “Brain Gym”.

For teaching and for learning, on it’s eleventh birthday, we celebrate the Center for Integral Education (CIE)!  On April 24, 1998, CIE was born, and since that time we have grown from just a big idea, to a small team who worked to open the Rainbow Kids Integral School in 2002 (growing from just five to over 100 children in a few years), to opening our Integral Elementary School in 2006.  Over these years we have:

    • served nearly 600 children and their families;
    • provided scholarships totaling about $130,000;
    • employed around 30 teachers and aides and paid them over $1.7 million;
    • developed a donor list of hundreds of supporters and well-wishers;
    • raised nearly $460,000;
    • and invested thousands of volunteer hours in our work.

      Schools K 12 – Find yours now!

      For Fall, we think once again of starting a new school year with our children.  For some of you, it is merely a continuation of the school your child is already in, but for others it may be the beginning of something new.  Either Kindergarten at a new school, as your child starts his or her journey of formal education,  or perhaps a higher grade, if you are not happy with the education your child is currently receiving, and want something new.

      Now is the time, in the Spring, to find new schools, K 12, for children.  For elementary aged children, which includes grades K to 6th, I invite you to consider Integral Elementary School in San Diego, California.  This school is innovative and visionary (more…)
